DISC Lens™
How a person works, read together with what they value and what drives them
DISC Lens™ measures behavioural style and reads it alongside a person's values and motivations, so the report shows where the three line up and where they pull against each other. It is used internationally and can be set up for particular markets, and DISC Lens Africa™ is the version built for African workplaces.
Time to complete: Usually 10 to 25 minutes. DISC Lens™ adapts as a person answers, so it finishes sooner when their answers point clearly to their style and asks further questions when their answers pull in different directions.
Three lenses in one profile
Most DISC reports describe behaviour on its own. DISC Lens™ is the only DISC assessment that measures how a person works together with what they value and what drives them, and it scores how closely the three fit, which is often where strain or energy at work comes from.
DISC intensity map
The profile is plotted on a circumplex that shows the strength of each style and the order in which D, I, S and C shape how the person works.
What the report gives you
Three-lens profile
How the person acts, what they value and what motivates them, with an alignment score showing where the three agree and where they strain.
Work style and environment
The balance the person prefers between structure and flexibility, collaboration and autonomy, new ideas and stability, and results and relationships.
Integrated style
A written account of the person's particular combination of styles and how it has developed, specific to their own profile.
Communication and influence
How the person tends to communicate, how others are likely to read them, and how to adapt when working with each of the other styles.
DISC Lens Africa™, the version built for African workplaces
DISC Lens Africa™ keeps everything in DISC Lens™ and is set up for the way people work in African organisations.
Behaviour read in context
Deference to seniority, loyalty to the group and relational warmth are described as the strengths they are at work, instead of being read as low assertiveness or weak boundaries.
Language and examples people recognise
The report is written in the register African professionals use, with situations drawn from their own working lives.
The same three lenses
Behaviour, values and motivation, scored for how closely they fit, exactly as DISC Lens™ does it.
Take it to the team
Once a team has completed DISC Lens™ or DISC Lens Africa™, DISC Lens Teams™ shows how their styles combine, where the team's behaviour gathers and how that shapes the way it works together.
